I’ve been designing software for over 12 years. I approach design holistically — conceptual, interaction, and visual design are all important components of good creative problem solving. I design for the life of a product, keeping in mind how the product will evolve from present-day functionality to that needed in the future.

  1. Skills
  2. Professional Experience
  3. Personal Design Projects
  4. Education

  • Interaction and interface design for mobile, web, and desktop
  • Wireframing and full-fidelity visual design using Sketch
  • Prototyping using Tumult Hype or JavaScript in a browser
  • Icon design
  • Production-quality, accessible, semantic HTML, SVG, CSS (and Sass)
  • Meteor web application framework
  • Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, Affinity Designer and Photo
  • Photography, including basic retouching
  • Hot drum beats

  • Web-based reporting for an AP Computer Science online course, since spun out as Edhesive

Personal Design Projects

A number of my personal project designs have found their way into releases of macOS and other Apple software.

Desktop Interaction

While most of these designs were created in the macOS environment, there is enough similarity between the major GUIs that they could be easily adapted to others.
